Ahoy! I did these drawings of naughty Japanese High School students for the upcoming JET Welcome Times Newsletter. They’re a little bit of a departure from my usual style, but I thought it’d be fun to use this as an opportunity to try something slightly different.

And apparently, students here love Michael Jackson. They love Michael Jackson enough to immortalize him in scarecrow form, along with Obama and a samurai. It makes sense…they’re all on the same level for me too.

Here’s just a quick sketch for some Barnes and Noble back to school gear. Hopefully they’re into it. Being in Japan has inspired most of what this sketch looks like. You probably can’t tell, but it’s there! I bought a plant at the “mall” the other day, and when I got home, I noticed it came with a free snail! Hence, its presence is felt in the very next thing I drew. I thought about keeping it, but after watching all the “Monsters Inside Me” on Animal Planet before I came here, I put it outside. Do you know how many killer parasites are living on innocent looking snails such as this?!
