Group show in Japan
Friday, February 19th, 2010If you happen to be in or near Himi, Japan during the first two weekends in March, you should swing by the HIMMING ART CENTER to see drawings and photography describing Japan through a foreign point of view. I will have two pieces in the show, and the space is pretty cool. I think it used to be an old soy sauce factory…? I might have made that up. Anyway, here’s the info!

The New York Public Library put a ton of images from its photo archive on FLICKR. Their Mid Manhattan location has thousands and thousands of amazing pictures of any subject matter you can think of, and what they put on flickr is only a fraction of what they’ve actually got. I went there a few years ago and and spent a really long time going through the photos they have, and some are pretty crazy. You can even take them home, like books!
On a side not, I love 30 rock. I can’t stress that enough….”My upcoming lunch: autumn tempeh risotto with salmon rubbed streusel chunks.” I like health(y) food and all, but I almost barfed along with Liz Lemon on that one.
